This coming Spring, the Wednesday troupe is pleased to present their adaptation of The Elephant's Child, written by Rudyard Kipling (in Dummerston, Vermont).

“In the High and Far-Off times, the Elephant, O Best Beloved, had no trunk. But there was one Elephant ---a new Elephant---an Elephant’s Child---who was full of insatiable curiosity. He lived in Africa and filled Africa with his insatiable curiosities.”

The Elephant’s Child, with the most insatiable curiosity, travels to the great gray-green, greasy Limpopo River to seek answers to one of his questions.  Along the way, the Elephant’s Child meets many animals, including befriending a Bi-Colored-Python-Rock-Snake.  Then, with an unexpected encounter with a crocodile, the Elephant’s Child demonstrates believing in himself and adjusting to new abilities. He remains a curious and beloved Elephant’s Child throughout his adventures. His insatiable curiosity reveals a deep sense of belonging to his animal family and to the African world he inhabits.

We look forward to exploring identity, individuality, and the discovery of new abilities in The Elephant's Child.
