Ahhh, the power of creativity and self-expression to tell beloved as well as new stories! We bring our stories to life with movement, sound, projections, music, words, and emotions. The enjoyment of being together in the land of great stories, which invite such wonderful theatrical opportunities, is the glue that holds all of this together. What fun!

It is Wednesday morning. Our huge monitor on a wheely cart is set up in the classroom and five of our students are beginning to "pop in" via Zoom to take part.

Our Visiting Artist, Steveo, begins leading a vocal exploration to express and create specific animals from Rudyard Kipling's story, The Elephant's Child. We add movements and practice "claiming the stage" with confidence and pride. We laugh, interact, and enjoy one another's company. We are looking forward to what will unfold as we delve into our new story.

Thursday morning is here!
Thursday Troupe members greet one another enthusiastically. The script for the November show has been completed and printed. The show has been cast. The actors happily find their own scripts and sit down to begin highlighting their parts.

Opening circle sets a playful mood as some of the actors lead warm-up exercises. And then, it is off to their starting places for the show. The focus for this class is for actors to feel the show's blocking in their bodies; we walk through many of the actors' entrances and exits. All are ready and willing to begin staging our story.
