After a nine-year absence from producing Shakespeare, the Thursday Troupe is bringing A Midsummer Night’s Dream back to the stage this fall. Audiences are invited to enter the world of Shakespeare’s rhythmical language, complicated relationships, and magical plot twists.

This November's production promises an engaging experience, featuring actors who embrace their characters from the inside out. Egeus embodies being betrayed by his daughter, Hermia is headstrong yet hopelessly in love with Lysander, and Hippolyta leads the Court with wisdom and sympathy. Meanwhile, Demetrius navigates conflicting emotions about both Hermia and Helena, Bottom—played by two actors—is the clown of the story offering many laughs, and Puck, Oberon, Titania, and several more fairies supply essential magic and whimsy.

A Midsummer Night's Dream will feature glorious costumes, sublime live piano, inventive set design, and creative lighting.
